Lakota Youth Development is a native non-profit whose mission is to reclaim Lakota language, culture, and spirituality by promoting healthy lifestyles to our youth through culturally-based strategies. 

For the past 30 years, we have helped over 7,000 tribal youth from across the Great Plains region reconnect with their ancestral knowledge. 

Our vision is that our youth will grow into self-sufficient Lakota speakers and leaders as they have a firm sense of identity. 

We empower our youth to rise through Wolakota as they become advocates for themselves, their communities, and indigenous peoples across the world.
